Electrical Conduit types

4. Flexible Metal Conduit (FMC): Made of interlocking metal strips, FMC is flexible and allows for easier installation around obstacles. It's often used in exposed or concealed locations where bending around corners or tight spaces is necessary.

5. Flexible Non-Metallic Conduit (FNMC): Made of PVC or other non-metallic materials, FNMC is flexible and resistant to corrosion. It's commonly used in residential and light commercial applications where moisture or corrosion resistance is important.

6. Liquidtight Flexible Metal Conduit (LFMC): Similar to FMC but with a liquid-tight outer coating, LFMC provides protection against liquids and is often used in wet or outdoor environments.

7. PVC Conduit: Made of polyvinyl chloride, PVC conduit is lightweight, non-conductive, and resistant to corrosion. It's commonly used in residential and light commercial applications for both surface-mounted and buried installations.

8. HDPE Conduit: High-density polyethylene conduit is lightweight, flexible, and resistant to chemicals and corrosion. It's often used for underground installations, such as for telecommunications or fiber optic cables.
